Guide to treatments

Starting your nail care routine or meeting a new nail therapist may feel a little daunting at times. I have put this guide together to help you decide which treatment is most suitable for you and what should you expect when booking a treatment with Nail Chronicles.

Manicures

Properly performed manicure can significantly improve the appearance of hand and nails, improve blood circulation, deliver important nutrients, remove dead skin and deeply moisturise.

Nail Chronicles offers four types of manicures:

Express Manicure

Your nails will be shaped, cuticle removed from the nail plate in a “dry” way and nails professionally polished with the colour of choice. The treatment will end with cuticle oil ad hand cream being applied to the nails and hand.

Who is it for: Client with nails in great condition who likes to keep them natural, wear colour occasionally or change it often.

Standard Manicure

Your nails will be shaped, soaked and cuticle thoroughly removed from the nail plate with a cuticle remover. Standard manicure includes massage using OPI Massage lotion and polish with colour of choice.

Who is it for: Client who has manicures regularly. Standard Manicure is also a great way to keep the nails in good condition in between luxury manicures.

Luxury Manicure

Your nails will be shaped, soaked and cuticle removed from the nail plate with a cuticle remover. Your hand and arm will be exfoliated using the fantastic range of OPI Manicure products. Next a moisturising and brightening mask is applied and hands wrapped in towels which are kept warm to allow the mask to sink in. Half way through the time when mask is sinking in, a cuticle micro-exfoliating cream is applied to the nails. After the excess of mask is removed, hands and forearms are massaged. The last step is nail polish (colour or French finish), cuticle oil and hand cream.

Who is it for: Client who have never had a full manicure or received it over 6 months ago, clients with very dry skin on their hands or damaged, dry nails. Luxury manicure is an ideal treatment to perform after the enhancement removal especially if these have not been removed by a professional.

Revival Manicure

Your nails will be shaped, soaked and cuticle removed from the nail plate with a cuticle remover. You will receive a relaxing hand and arm massage using an OPI Massage lotion. A cuticle micro-exfoliating cream followed by a cuticle oil will be applied to nails and wrapped in a towel for a few minutes to soak in. The last step is applying strengthening treatments to nails.

Who is it for: Client with damaged nails who does not have time for a full (luxury) manicure. Revival Manicure has been designed to provide the best results in a shortest amount of time.

Two Week Manicures

CND Shellac

Amazing power polish (hybrid of polish and gel) which is applied like regular polish but wears for 14 days with no chips and amazing shine. Shellac dries under the UV lamp and leaves you ready to go without having to wait for hours until your polish is set hard. Shellac is removed in minutes using professional products and does not damage the natural nail.

Who is it for: Clients who like their polish to stay perfect for a long time, busy professionals without much time for frequent nail polishing. Clients with healthy nails will get the best results with Shellac, this system has not been designed for weak or damaged nails.

Nubar Gelicure

Unlike Shellac, Gelicure is a pure soak-off gel. It is thinly applied to the nail to provide a long lasting colour with a very high shine. Gelicure is more forgiving when it comes to damaged nails however its removal time is significantly longer than removal of Shellac.

Who is it for: Clients who want a long lasting colour and service similar to Shellac but their nails are too weak or damaged.
